'London Born, British Made' SHADE London bring the latest in cutting edge street wear fashion to its global audience. SHADE London is bold, diverse and influenced by street styles from all over the world. They have a huge brand presence on the web and their garments range from crops to cycle shorts. As brands come, they've grown rapidly into one of the most successful 21st Century independent British labels there are.
So much so, that we've been spotting Brit beauty Ellie Goulding wearing SHADE London on stage recently (as seen on her Instagram). It’s impossible for their garments to not catch your eye and that's why at Dot2Dot Branding, we're proud to have teamed up with the development team at SHADE London to add a touch of quality to their ever growing brand. Since working with SHADE London, we have worked closely to produce garment and accessory additions, such as sublimation lanyards, heavy weight die-cut swing tickets with a waxed chord, super HD back neck woven labels and soft raised PVC rubber labels. The brand brings street wear alive, it creates individuality, has a huge identity and causes an unbelievable stir on social media. February 2015 saw the launch party for the SS/15 collection and it brought everything the brand represents under one roof; a London based party with a unique guest list, flowing drinks and vibe that suited SHADE impeccably! Bring the SHADE London to you and get involved by checking out their online store, Instagram, Facebook Page & Twitter for regular updates, news as well as new and existing product ranges. http://shadelondon.com/

'Following two days packed with inspiring talks, fashion fun and enough tweets to keep the #VogueFestival hashtag trending all weekend, the Vogue Festival 2014 in association with Harrods has drawn to a close. On day two, the likes of Naomi Campbell, Franca Sozzani, Karlie Kloss, Edie Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sarah Burton, Grayson Perry and Nick Knight all took to the stage, while a host of fashion, styling and beauty makeovers and masterclasses kept us all entertained in-between.' When we were tasked with developing some chic Vogue adhesive labels to accompany the heavenly stylish Molami Headphones for the Vogue Festival 2014, we pushed the desks aside, constructed a miniature catwalk and strutted our stuff to the sound of Sam Smiths new tune (courtesy of radio 1). Emphatically camp it may have been, it just seems that more and more of our projects and products keep popping up in the most insane of places! These two gorgeous ladies (mother and daughter), pictured here on Mother's day, were fortunate enough to attend and took the opportunity to tune into the Vogue Trend Talks; very stylish indeed! There is more than what meets the eye with this clothing brand. In the 21st century, it is all too easy to pull a word out of the air and plaster it all over garments, get a girl with intriguing, outrageously styled hair to model it and hey presto… You've all but got a brand! 304 clothing are much more than that. They’re playful, they party, they are full of fond memories and they’re about friendship. The brand is deeply inspired by a culture of music, parties and festivals; they carefully toy with the idea of revolution, but wrap this thought in the warm arms of love. Three friends came together and brought the 304 clothing brand in 2012 and quite frankly, did a scintillatingly marvelous job. One of their most unique attributes is that all their lines are unisex. With gender stereotypes in fashion becoming ever more blurred, this is a concept we foresee becoming increasingly popular and hats off to 304 clothing for being one of the first to enter the market. Whilst 304 clothing are still an emergent company and only entering into their second year of production, they are already hugely popular on various social media platforms. They boast 4,000 facebook likes, 5,000 twitter followers and an astounding 20,000 instagram followers. 304 clothing are a brand that utilizes social media to its advantage; just cast over the #304clothing to see how popular they have become! Contrary to what anyone says, we think it’s unanimous that everyone’s favorite season is summer. Who doesn’t like the summer sun and smooth vibes summer brings? 304 clothing manage to take such vibes and cleverly use it to influence their collection (we are pretty excited to see what they’re rolling out in the next few months). You can join the clothing revolution and browse the online store at www.304clothing.com The team have already promised big things emerging from apartment 304 for 2014 and you can follow the buzz here; Twitter @304_revolution Facebook /304Revolution There are hundreds of fresh and original brands exploding onto the scene; the power of social media allowing every individual label to catapult into the minds of fashion conscious shoppers wanting to wear unique clothing across the world. With this and through the development of numerous channels to bring clothing labels to market (hats off to ASOS and their innovative "ASOS Marketplace"), comes categorically rife competition which ultimately leads to a widening pool of good brands. So what allows us to label VMU London as the emperor of urban fashion you may wonder? In simple terms, they've not just got a good brand, but an immense one! Chic, modish styles aren't something you often associate with an urban clothing label, but in every sense of the words, this is exactly what VMU London is and stands for. They have kept many of their designs simple, but with every range they've produced since founding themselves in the UK's capital, it is clear to see that their passion for fashion design is prevailing.
Each collection and item that can be found on their stylish website and without question, all follow the greatest rules of fashion design. Simplicity, innovation and a true knowledge of the market in which they want to dominate. A key design feature of VMU London is their frequently measured use of quality sourced leather across their thrilling ranges; Napa Leather to be precise. This provides a genuine level of luxury and with their 'urbanesque' approach, they really do have some exciting unique selling points; it's no wonder we've noticed VMU London being worn by some of the most notorious celebrities across a number of industries. We're as excited to be working with VMU London as you should be to be wearing them! We should also add... Another key design which encompasses an historical artistic concept is their collection of printed t-shirts with a range of well-known oil paintings spanning roughly from the 16th-19th century, these prints provide soft faded warmth to the colours which will compliment many skin tones. Check out what's new over at their site right here: http://www.vmulondon.com/collections/whats-new Better still, be quick to catch their SALE right here: http://www.vmulondon.com/collections/sales I first watched Paul van Dyk among 20,000 people crammed into a tent on the muddy air fields of Global Gathering many many years ago. He was an education; both music and lighting alike were a carefully crafted, priceless masterpiece. Then I came across him on a visit to Doha, Qatar where the environment couldn't have contrasted more significantly. The backdrop was a spread of expansive and unique skyscrapers and the stage was erected on a 5* hotel beach resort. Yet again and in his own right, he absolutely stole the show and sand was flying everywhere to the modestly sized crowds movements.
Paul van Dyk has lit up the dance music scene for over 2 decades with his superclub anthems, so much so that few artists past and present can embody this German DJ and producer. I often ponder on what it would have been like to experience a Paul van Dyk in the 90s, I can imagine it was a whirlwind of euphoric emotions, heart pumping bass and ecstatic trancey sounds. Then again it still is and a true fan base took over the Electric dance venue, where a classic ballroom has a very interesting modern take for such huge artists. Rest assured, your visit would be well worth it, so definitely head over to Electric's website by clicking here to view who is playing. Back to the show we had been invited to see and throw in a borderline hazardous amount of pyrotechnics blasting miraculously close to both DJ and poignant fans and Paul van Dyk is taking over the 21st century just like he has done for all of the era's he's experienced as a world class DJ. One thing is for certain, Paul van Dyk's talents and electro house dance music production skills are certainly not dead. It was a pleasure to be invited to this event and once again be taken back by this continuously revolutionising artist and his musical capabilities. A show well worth going to see. If you know the brand and their roots, this is a group of 3 friends that had become so uninspired by what was out there that they actually went and did something not many of us have the vision, drive or know-how to do. Having recently sent out Educate Elevates order and wanting to know more about the roots and background of this brand, we did a little research... Coming from the heart and capital of the North, Manchester, we were a little surprised. This is a city dominated by the Gallagher's. On every given corner, it is hardly a shock to find a Beetles inspired hair cut on a man sporting tight denim jeans and a dim green/beige anorak of some sorts. This is the problem. If you love the late 80's / early 90's era where the multicolour and bright vibe was in full swing, baggy clothes were commonplace, the Fresh Prince was showing us his story and you would rather be an individualist wanting to eliminate the dull, clone like behaviour of high street brands in your wardrobe, then you're more than likely on to a winner with Educate Elevate. It's what they stand for. So why do we think the future of this brand is prosperous? With our many years of experience in the branding industry, we can spot an exciting, energetic and innovative brand a mile off. Educate Elevate stand above the rest. They're cool, have a tenacious work ethic, are ambitious, have numerous USP's, their products are worn by the likes of Little Mix, they have features all over the web, they have an undeniably sexy selection of models that epitomise the EE brand and last but not least, they're now working with us here at Dot2Dot Branding! If you want to Educate the mind (the more you educate yourself and your surroundings) to Elevate the grind (the higher chance you have of moving on up in the world), then get on over to the Educate Elevate website, click, like and follow them on social media and be a part of the Educate Elevate movement; retro inspired street wear and one off vintage pieces await! Website: http://www.educateelevate.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/educateelevateltd Twitter: https://twitter.com/educateelevate On a recent visit to London and a 'right grand' walk by its many inspirational buildings, it felt that on every other corner, this was owned by Qatari's and that owned by Russian's. Whilst we paused for a moment and considered whether we thought British culture was dying a very cold death, it jumped out at us... "There is no way British culture is dead"; and for your information, fish and chips was not the first thing that came to mind! Much closer to home and with all the clothing labels we are working with on a daily basis, fashion in Britain is absolutely alive! We definitely appreciate the glorious number of lavishly talented designers that grace our country and make British culture and worldwide fashion what it was, has been, is and will be for many more centuries to come. None more so than the stunningly creative, band girls, strongest allies and owners of British fashion label ART DISCO, Lucy Catherwood and Marie France. Their elegantly simplistic designs are the epitome of Great British fashion design and truly bring it to life in glorious fashion! Their tireless work ethic presents an admirably ambitious brand and their brilliantly innovative designs are inspiring new looks throughout the UK. This has led them to feature in one of the UK's most popular high street retail outlets, Topshop & Topman, which only secures Art Disco a very strong position among a highly competitive market. All of their products are hand printed entirely in eco-friendly inks and focus on keeping the timeless staple that is the classic white t-shirt alive and fresh. Let the bold, iconic and funky ranges that are all hand screen printed in the UK take your look to another level and join the Art Disco movement. You are able to buy Art Disco clothing from numerous outlets throughout the UK including Topshop & Topman! They are also available online at: http://www.artdisco.co.uk http://www.topman.com/ Please take the time to connect with with Art Disco on social media; they're great fun! https://www.facebook.com/artdiscoclothing https://twitter.com/art_disco http://instagram.com/artdisco Having read a recent article by Paul Lester at the Guardian suggesting that this extraordinary talent had come seemingly from nowhere, we were under the illusion that no one had really heard about the numerous things that are great about Settle in North Yorkshire. After all, there’s the Settle to Carlisle railway that includes one of the most idyllic viaducts known to man, a traditional Tuesday market that has been going since 1249, the glorious countryside that has been cast in many a movie, inclusive of the infamous 3 Peaks and rugby players galore, such as England's rising stars Chris and Jack Walker. And then... there's John Newman. A young gentleman that no one quite anticipated had this blissfully unique voice that would transpire into something so powerful, so great and so chart topping! How wrong they were to doubt. Where should we start? Avoiding the open mic nights clumsily put together by some of Settle’s less musically orientated tourist attractions in its local public houses and to avoid certain comments made by peers, John's talents and ambition have come from the heart and soul of his family; his mother. She has not only been cast as a somewhat Wigan Pier and Motown maverick, but was one of the very few people that has allowed this raw talent of a music magician to come to the forefront of every local person's lips, a nation's downloads and many millions of fans ears throughout the world. So much soul, that no one can deny the hard work and self-belief of this rising star truly holds credit to the stereotypical saying of, 'if you want something so much, the opportunities will arise to make it happen.' After all, this is no ordinary story behind the uprising of John Newman; John sadly lost two of his dearest friends to a car accident and only after surgery to remove a brain tumor did he realise his collaboration was the hottest track of the week on Zane Lowe's program on radio 1 and soon to be topping the UK Top 40. It comes across as wherever John was and no matter what his fellow peers were saying, his songwriting capabilities and undeniable vocal talents have followed. If you're into intimate gigs, unearthing the next big musical mastermind prior to anyone else, enjoy the acoustic tracks that have leaked onto Youtube of John and do this all in the mighty town of Leeds, then you could well have stumbled across John Newman somewhere along the way. Without a care in the world in his garden, living room or bedroom, John would happily play tracks he had written about anything he had an emotional attachment to. Combined with a hand-picked selection of renditions from the likes of Otis Redding, Lionel Richie and Marvin Gaye, each and every time I have had the opportunity to attend one of his gig's, I've been dumbfounded as to why this powerful voice wasn’t doing the circuit of the O2’s throughout the country.
How very wrong I was. A triple platinum selling collaboration with Rudimental, a top 10 collaboration with Rudimental and Alex Clare, a debut single number 1 and having played live to crowds reaching 80,000 people this summer, it’s fair to say that the newest and hottest voice on the circuit is here to stay and has surpassed all expectations I ever made. After divulging in a splendid Chinese courtesy of China, China in Settle and having sat down on a Friday evening awaiting John Newman's appearance on the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage, I was taken back by what followed. This was a back to basics performance of amazing Motown-esque vocals accompanied by excellently executed keyboard playing that only those with astronomical ability could ever deliver. Whilst the nerves were understandably evident in the opening few seconds, what was to follow was difficult to compare anything to. This was the true John Newman, doing what John Newman does best. It was brilliant. Here was a man that could barely be heard by a small community, let alone Pennyghent, Ingleborough or Whernside, yet now here is a man that is destined to go on and achieve extremely incredible things and in response to Lester’s Motown junk or retro R&B genius comment, there is no doubt that John Newman is a combination of the following: Motown, R&B and genius.. Whilst ‘Love me again’ is an absolute smash hit, glimpses of John’s album keep spouting up all over Youtube and there’s no denying, we’re all in for a real treat with what is to come. Things to look forward to: John’s debut album is set to be released in the coming months. Buy your signed copy via his website for just under £13.00 delivered. Click here to buy now.
